Abby & Julien’s classic black and white wedding at The Revival House in Stratford, ON will forever be one of my favourite weddings. Where do I even start with these two?! Abby and Julien are two seriously wonderful (and BEAUTIFUL) people. You can almost feel their kindness through these photos. And once you’ve spent time with their families, it’s so clear how they got that way.
The day was understated, relaxed, and BEAUTIFUL. From Abby’s stunning stationary designed by Flourish Calligraphy to her show-stopper of a dress by Pronovias (from The Modern Bride), it was pretty much a wedding day dreams are made of.
This wedding holds such a special place in my heart. Between the amazing people, the incredibly good vibes, and countless sweet moments, I’m 100% smitten.
Sabrina and Matt’s Burlington Lakefront engagement session at the Paletta Mansion was SO. MUCH. FUN. These two have a very easygoing way about them. They’re so sweet and such a joy to be around. I felt immediately at ease with them the first time we met and I can’t tell you of how easy it is to do my job when every single glance the couple makes at one another is pure gold. We spent the evening just wandering around the Paletta Lakefront Park, chatting and giggling (And snapping some photos, of course).
Nicole and Chris’ outdoor wedding in Caledon, Ontario was nothing short of a dream. Lush with greenery, bright whites, and soft greys, the tented wedding was an incredible way to kick off the 2017 season!
What can I say?! Nicole and Chris are two of the sweetest, most genuinely in love people I’ve ever met. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every second of getting to know them over the past year and have been counting down the days until their June wedding since my last wedding season wrapped. Based simply on Nicole’s effortless style and attention to detail, I knew this would be a wedding for the books, but I’ve got to say, I was completely blown away. Everything came together to create the perfect day for this couple. The weather was gorgeous, the details were perfect, and Nicole and Chris looked simply beautiful. More importantly, though, all the love floating around in the (very warm) air took this day over the top. From their hand-written vows to an incredible speech by the groom during the reception, the fight to hold back tears was SO real.
Nicole and Chris – congratulations on an incredible day. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for you as you take on this new, amazing chapter in your lives!
In the earliest days of this past fall, Alexandra asked me to meet her and her hubby for a Niagara Anniversary shoot at sunset to celebrate their fifth year of marriage. As a wedding photographer herself, Alexandra knew exactly where she wanted to meet, an unassuming field off a rural road with rolling hills, gorgeous golden hour light, and greenery as far as the eye can see! And boy-oh-boy did this location deliver (see below for said delivery).
Every year, Alexandra and Ian have their portrait taken just before their anniversary, a tradition for which I think this couple deserves a massive round of applause. What a wonderful way to document your relationship through the years (*Note to self*). As these two grow together in their marriage and in their personal lives, they have this – albeit small – snapshot to look back on decades from now. A look at how they were just then. How they wandered with one another, shared the sweetest kisses, giggled at each other. Just absolutely perfect, 5 years down and many, many more to go.
This incredibly detailed and elegant wedding inspiration shoot was dreamt up by Lindsey Brunk and Taylor Lord for the Duo Workshop this past Spring. The muted greens and amazing floral work by Pollen Events against the rich brown harvest table and sand coloured walls makes for one incredibly dreamy shoot. Not to mention the lace detailing on the Pronovias gown!! Swoon.
A big thank you to all the talented people who made this possible!

I clicked with Aisha & Tyler pretty much the moment I met them. Aisha has an extremely calming presence and is quite possibly the most genuinely kind and warm person I’ve ever come across. And Tyler, her partner of many, many years, is her perfect match: Sweet and caring, the perfect down-to-earth attitude to accompany Aisha’s bubbly personality. As you’re about the see, they’re both completely gorgeous. I had so much fun photographing their engagement shoot in Hamilton and am SO excited for their wedding next August.
No one could have dreamt up better weather for Stefanie and Kevin’s fall wedding at The Liberty Grand in Toronto. When Stef told me she was hoping to have an outdoor ceremony at the beginning of November, I immediately began wishing for the best. And the best is really what we got. A sunny, beautiful day, fitting for such a wonderful couple.
Stefanie and Kevin’s day was beautiful. From the simple yet elegant palette of white, black, and gold, to the delicate curl of the bride’s loose up-do. Stef and her bridesmaids were covered in the sweetest touches of lace and gold, and made for one stunning group of ladies. Meanwhile, the guys looked dapper as anything in black and gold, spiffy-as-could-be in their bowties. The relaxed beauty of the day is a direct reflection of this laid back couple, who seem most at ease together. Between the adorable outburst of giggles during the ceremony to the sweet cuddles of their portraits, I’m left with a giant post-wedding grin on my face.
Stef and Kev, it was such a pleasure to be a part of your incredible day and I’m so happy to see you two married!! Congratulations again and again, and I can’t wait to hear all about your European adventures soon! All my love, D.
Thank you to my wonderful second shooter Ally!!

A day full of rain could not stop Christina and Dave’s September wedding in Vaughan. In fact, I’m certain the rain made an already stunning day, that much more beautiful and unique.
We’ve all heard the comforting saying “Rain on your wedding day is good luck!” when the threat of dark clouds covers a wedding day. And while we know in our hearts that weather won’t be what we ultimately remember about the most magical day ever, we still dream of waking up to a perfect, sunny morning on the day of our nuptials.
So when I woke up the morning of Christina and Dave’s wedding, I did a rain dance, straightened my hair (a ridiculous idea), and told the rain it could go as hard as it wanted until 2pm. But when I arrived at Christina’s house the morning of the wedding, she didn’t seem worried at all. This girl was cool as a cucumber, fresh out of the crisper. With 16 umbrellas in tow, Christina and Dave were determined to make the most out of their wedding day, even if that meant trekking through the rain. And trek through the rain we did, for one of the most memorable, unique, and FUN wedding portrait sessions I’ve ever photographed.
Real talk: Spending such an important day with these two amazing humans was a blessing I’ll probably never get over. There are few better feelings in this world than being completely smitten with your clients. I’m still beaming as I make my way through their wedding album and am SO excited to share these photos with them. Christina and Dave, I’m so excited to see what life has in store for you. Congratulations you two!!

Emelia and Josh are two of the kindest, most generous and loving people I’ve ever met, and I’m willing to bet anyone who’s been graced with their friendship would agree. I was over-the-moon excited and honoured to photograph their wedding day and had been counting down the days since they asked me last year. And after all that waiting, the day was absolutely perfect. The insane downpours would pause long enough for Emelia and her bridesmaids to pop outside for a photo and the sky cleared right up for the outdoor nuptials. And to top it off, Emelia and Josh looked simply gorgeous. Their wedding day was full of so much love and laughter, I spent most of it with a giant grin behind my camera. And at the end of the night, there was fireworks. Literally. BOOM!
A million thank you’s to my second photographer, Erin!
Trevor and Kaitlin’s session in Calgary was in a word, effortless. They were so relaxed with one another that my job was more or less to admire their chemistry and laugh along as the high winds blew about Kaitlin’s unreal head of hair. I’m not sure I could even dream up a sweeter situation than a session down by the river in Calgary, with a couple as adorable as this. Swoooon.
